This week's Sunday Spotlight is on Irma. Above is the radar picture, from the Orlando Sentinel.
It seems like we just got over checking on half of Mr. Disney Magic's Family as they got trapped in Harvey, now we have another part to worry about with Irma! I checked my radar today, and was shocked to see the entire state covered in dark green, yellow and red.
As devastating as any natural disaster is, it's even more so if you aren't prepared with even the basics in your home. A minimum of an extra week supply of food and water. Just because you have running water, doesn't mean it's clean. After we went through Ike in 2008, I think it was, I got sick from the city water, even though they'd said it was okay. Don't be that person! Don't be that family. Gather some supplies and promise yourself that you won't use it, unless you've replaced it, FIRST. That way, you've always got supplies on hand for yourself, or someone who is in need.
Let's all send our best thoughts, prayers and pixie dust towards Florida, and hope that Disney does activate that mythical weather bubble everyone suspects, but has never seen, and can spread it throughout the state.
