Collecting autographs of your favorite Disney Characters is not only fun, but also is free, gives you more interaction with the characters and sends you home with great memories! Almost every character in a Disney Park can sign an autograph for you, but how do you collect them?
We have some great tips for unique ways to capture those autographs!
On our most recent trip, we didn't use a book like we had in years past, because it really just sat on the shelf. What we did instead, was to buy the largest size white letters at the craft store and the characters signed those. I was surprised at how big a hit that was. Pluto told us he wanted a P, and tried to hang our youngest's A up over his house, Pooh wanted a P, so did Pluto, and Donald wanted a D too! It was really fun for our boys, and are going to be something that they can actually look at, and remember those awesome moments. Here is what our letters looked like!
There are so many other neat ways too!! Click on any photo to take you directly for more info.
Have a character sign a story book! We saw a lot of families walking around with this one, and having the character sign on his or her own page! The book is less than $6 at Amazon, no wonder!
Have a character sign in an autograph book that you've made, or bought
The signing of index cards, then putting them with the photos once you get back is very popular too!!
Want to sleep on a pillowcase filled with Disney magic?
How about a photo mat that has all of the names of your favorites, then a photo of you with one?
A T shirt or hat that's been signed is more special that one you buy! (But keep in mind, the character’s can't sign your shirt if you are in it! )
With so many different ways to capture memories, it's tough to choose! Just remember to bring Sharpies, because while some Cast Members will have them on hand, not all will! It's better to be prepared so you don't walk away empty handed.
Who's the one character you are dying to meet? I FINALLY, FINALLY got to meet Tigger and Pooh, and let me tell you..it was a life long dream come true. I can still feel Tigger's squeeze!

It's important to start the morning off right. Do your best to get to the park with enough time to get through security before your starting time. Usually 30 to 45 minutes does the trick.
We are starting out our day when the gates open. (That means, you are at the park, already through security and ready to roll!) Do these attractions in this order, and you're going to get to do TEN awesome things including headliners in just 3 hours! That includes walking time from place to place.

Hidden Mickey's are everywhere at Disney! It's fun to try and spot them on the walls, the floor, in pictures...they are everywhere. My 2 kids like to keep the Disney Magic going even while we aren't on vacation by pointing out things to me like: "Look! Those chocolate chips are a hidden Mickey!" "Hey! Those spots on the sidewalk are a hidden Mickey!"
There are some books out there to show you where some of them are, and of course, it's just fun to discover on your own!
It's that time again...backpacks, lunchboxes, notebooks and pencils! Whether they are for the kids, or for you (Hey! Who says a home office can't have fun pens?!) Disney is the way to go! Fun touches that remind you of that happy place, and personalize our space!
This year there are some awesome Disney products both in the stores, and online, and we thought we'd point out a few! Whenever possible, I do tend to look online, because it's so much easier to buy it, and nicer to have your stuff be a little different than everyone else, you know? When there are three Minecraft backpacks all lined up in a row that were bought at Walmart, it takes more effort for your kid to grab the right one, than the one that was bought at Amazon, because that one is going to be a little different.
So...lets start browsing!! Click on any picture to go right to Amazon's page for the product. This page does contain affiliate links.
This backpack is soo adorable, AND such a good price!! It's less than $20!
Do your kids like Smencils? Spmencils are long lasting, scented pencils. They even have DISNEY ones!! The price is pretty cheap too! $7.99 for a pack of 5. Just plain ones run around $2 each in our area and are very popular.
I have these exact pens, I splurged on them on our last trip, and the price is almost identical here!
Breakfast is so important...how about some Mickey Toast or Waffles? Again, less than $20!
Do you put any Disney into the school year? What do you do?
First off, a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Deb over at Focused on the Magic. Make sure you click the button at the bottom to go see her Wordless Wednesday, (and everyone elses) and give a birthday hello!
The topic is Celebrating, and I don't know about you, but anytime you go to Disney is a time for celebrating! I just wish we lived closer, because I'm not joking, this is how it would be in our house: End of school?! Celebrate at Disney! Lost a tooth? Celebrate at Disney! Made it through the work week? Celebrate at Disney! Today I'm alive? Celebrate at Disney! Seriously. I just don't need a reason to celebrate at Disney, just being there is reason enough! When I'm a little old lady, my plan is to work there! I'm going to have to Uber or something though, because I cannot drive on those roads...heck no. This small town girl doesn't know how to be that crazy. We can't all be as awesome as Dory.
ANYWAY!! Point of my photo is...whatever you are celebrating at Disney, be it big or small, just ask, and someone will rustle you up one of these super cut buttons that not only makes a souvenir of your trip, but also of your celebrating memory!
When not doing everything Disney, you can find me loom knitting, gardening and bargain hunting. After all, a dollar saved is a dollar towards Disney! I am not a Disney Vacation Planner, so I'll never be pushing my services, however on occasion I might post Amazon affiliate links. You won't pay a dime more, but buying through my links helps support the maintenance costs for the site.
