Getting bored at home? Need to plan our if your littles can handle something? (Or you?) We've got a great new idea! It seems I'm a little late to the party, but did you know that you can go on a virtual Disney World ride? I'm not just talking about a ride through like you can find on Youtube that someone recorded. It is JUST like being there because you can turn your "head" and see whatever it was you wanted to see. Amazing! This is pure magic, because how does this even exist?! This is so amazing, I'm not joking...I teared up on the Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan and Small World. Did you recognize the picture above? This is my youngest's favorite ride at Epcot! You can do a quick search, for 360 Disney World Rides, and you'll find a ton. This channel here has some great quality ones. I seriously felt as though I was there, on each of the rides. Make this a family night activity!! Everyone can take turns "riding" on their favorite rides. Talk about taking your trip planning to a while new level! How epic is this? Anthony Daniels (Voice of C3PO) reading a Star Wars story? Winnie the Pooh stories, Marvel, Bolt, Moana and so many more tales are waiting to be read to you in the coziness of your own home, by an amazing all star Disney cast! There are tons of these amazing stories for Disney fans of all ages, being read! You can find these on the Disney Movie Insiders Facebook page! Scroll down, there are so many to choose from! Snuggle up with your kids or kitties, and enjoy some Disney Magic! What's your favorite you've heard? I can't choose! It's been hard to think about Disney as of late. On so many groups, I see people planning their fall vacations, and all I can think about is the sorrow I feel that we, like so many others, will most likely have to cancel or postpone by a year our upcoming trip. Will Disney even be normal this fall, when this virus rebounds? While Disney has been AMAZING with so many free Disney things, and programs, it's not a substitute for a Disney trip! And you know what? It's okay to be sad. It's okay to grieve the loss of a Disney trip. Maybe you are like me, hanging on my a thread and a hope of pixie dust, maybe it just couldn't work out for you. Let's be honest, things are costing more, people are losing their jobs. There are medical problems, car problems, kid expenses, you name it, it's happening. While my greatest wish is that none of us go through that, that's just life. In our house, I lost 2 part time jobs, the jobs that pay for vacation, extra groceries and kid stuff, as well as make it less tight some months. We've also had mystery health problems, and so like many of you, I wonder, what will happen in the future. Having to cancel anything big, or when you experience a huge change in life, it's only normal to feel this way. The five stages of grief are: Denial - What?? Nah, this isn't really happening. Anger - Why me? Why is it ALWAYS me?! Bargaining - Well maybe if I can... Depression - This stinks. Everything stinks. Nothing's fair. Acceptance - Okay. this is how it is, and I'm going to just have to get through it If you need to feel sad, feel sad. If you need to cry as you rebook, even if it's years out, then do it. We don't know how Disney will change when they reopen, only that it will. how can it not? But maybe these changes won't be for the worst. Maybe instead of long standby lines, everything will be a virtual queue! Let's think positive. In the meantime, stay safe, stay healthy and remember, we are all in this together. Best of all, remember: "No matter how you heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true." |
