Walt Disney said a lot of inspiring things, but he also said a lot of things that at the time, I imagine he never knew would be remembered long after his death. One example, is in the movie Blades of Glory, one of Disney's fairly well known quotes, also spoken by the actors, was on a huge banner on the ice rink wall. "If you can dream it, you can do it." I love to find these little pieces of Disney Magic throughout the every day, but it's even more amazing to think that something someone might have said in casual conversation, in a letter, or to his staff to motivate them, might be used 30, 40 or 50 years later, still motivating and encouraging others! Walt Disney had a lot of important things to say, things that are relevant, even today. Here 10 of my favorite Walt Disney Quotes you may never have heard before! 1. We are not trying to entertain the critics. I'll take my chances with the public. 2. A man should never neglect his family for business 3. Get in. Not choose but get it. Be part of it and then move up. I've always has that feeling about things. And it upsets me so much when people want to get into something but they're too darn choosy about what they want to do. Get in while you have a chance to at least look and see, and out if it might come something. 4. All the adversity I've has in my life, all my troubles and obstacles have strengthened me. 5. There is more treasure in books than in all the pirates' loot on Treasure Island and at the bottom of the Spanish Main...best of all you can enjoy these riches every day of your life. 6. Never get bored or cynical. Yesterday is a thing of the past. 7. The way to keep children out of trouble is to keep them interested in things. Lecturing to children is no answer to delinquency. Preaching won't keep kids out of trouble. But keeping their minds occupied will. 8. Of all of our inventions for mass communication, pictures still speak the most universally understood language. 9. Why do we have to grow up? I know more adults who have the children's approach to life. They're people who don't give a hang to what the Jonses do. You see them at Disneyland every time you go there. They're not afraid to be delighted with simple pleasures, and they have a degree of contentment with what life has brought -- sometime's it isn't much, either. 10. I only hope that we never lose sight of one thing, that it was all started by a mouse. Did you have any favorite quotes from Walt Disney? Comment below, or visit our Facebook and share there! One of my favorite things to tell people is best said in a rhyme! Under three, at Disney, kids are free! That means, up til the time your little person turns three, they can enter the Disney parks for FREE, eat off of your plate, or their own at a buffet, for FREE and don't force your family of 5 immediately into a suite because they can stay for FREE as well. If you've booked a package and are getting Magic Bands, they will also get one, for FREE! I know the Disney fans are pretty split on if you should take your toddler into Disney or not, and this isn't the post for that, but my reasoning is if they can get in for free, why not enjoy those (also free!) priceless memories that are going to be made while there? We went twice with a toddler, and didn't regret a single second, and if I can be honest here...it was almost EASIER with a toddler who wanted naps, because then we rested mid day too! It's also fun to see things through their eyes! Have you ever taken advantage of this under three, gets in free policy? A few weeks back we shared a great tip for getting rides faster, even without a fastpass. Today we’re going to explain one more way, and that’s the Single Rider line. While only offered on a few of the headliner attractions, the single rider line is a huge time saver and is pretty self explanatory. A single rider line is for a single person. There are some rides that even have a totally separate line, just for the park goer who is solo and wants to ride, or is in a group doesn't care they might be split up from their friends or family. Since many of Disney’s rides accommodate more than one rider, either by a bench seat or a stadium style seat, it only makes sense for Cast Members to get as many riders on as possible to keep the line moving quickly. Single Riders have their own separate line, from the regular Standby of Fastpass lines. It's usually nearby, but if you miss the sign, just ask someone, you can point you there. The way these lines work, is you enter the line, and when there’s a seat, you get sent through. It’s a great way to ride quickly, and even make a new friend or two, if you freak out and start clinging to the rider next to you! So what places have this single rider line? Here’s a list for you! Test Track at Epcot Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom Rocking Rollercoaster at Hollywood Studios Disney is always experimenting with ways to make things better, so don't be surprised if in the future other rides are added to the list! Disney and Juicy Juice have teamed up with an "Incredible" offer! But any 3 specially marked packages of Juicy Juice Juice Boxes (easy to find, look for the ones with the Incredibles on them) then go online and enter the code to get a Fandano movie ticket good for ANY Disney movie. There are so many great Disney movies coming out this year, and as long as you use your code by March, 2019, it's good for any of them. The ticket is only valid up to $7.50, so if you have an overpriced movie theater like we do, you might still have to pay a few dollars, but it's still an awesome deal! What are you going to see? We are thinking Ant Man and the Wasp, then Mary Poppins or Wreck it Ralph this fall! Picture from Disney.com I love how patriotic Disney is. Every day, at 5pm at the Magic Kingdom, a special flag ceremony is held, the national anthem is played, and guests are invited to sing God Bless America. A veteran, is handed the flag to carry down Main Street U. S. A while musicians follow behind paying U.S. Military songs. It's a beautiful experience, and make's me feel proud that Disney recognizes our great Service Men and Women. A screen shot from Disney's website is below, with their description. Click on the picture, it will take you right to the information page. Have you ever watched the flag retreat? We've only ever caught the tail end, but one day, we hope to see the whole thing. |
