This week the topic for the Wordless Wednesday hosted by Focused on the Magic was Adventure! Animal Kingdom is the first (though, tied with Adventureland in the Magic Kingdom, naturally) when I think about Adventure. The newest area in Animal Kingdom is indeed an adventure waiting to happen! Pandora is full of exotic plants and creatures, both real and imagined as well as the entire landscape being created from something that only existed as CGI. That alone amazes me each time I think about it. Definitely an adventure to explore.

This week's theme over at Focused on the Magic is what would your July Calendar shot be. Since I don't have any good fireworks shots, I'm going to stray from the obvious, and pick this, The Great Movie Ride, because it rumors are correct, this is the last summer for it. We have only been on this twice, but it holds good memories for our family on this last trip, when our Indiana Jones obsessed 4 year old got to see the Ark of the Covenant there with some of the movie props on display, and then a scene from the movie. I had forgotten those were there, so it was a pleasant surprise that chased away the late afternoon crankies and made him cheerful, while giving us all a much desired break in the air conditioning! (See the button at the bottom of my post) Since we got back from our trip, all I can do is think about, and miss all of the wonderful food we had! Can't wait til we can get back, even though it's going to be a while! Mmm!! WolfgangPuck Express! This is the bacon wrapped meatloaf. It's on the dining plan, but even if you don't have that, but it anyway! The potatoes make you weep, they are so amazing. Be Our Guest open faced (yet it has a top?!) bacon and egg. I have seriously never tasted anything this good. It was light and fluffy and satisfying and magical. GOD BLESS DISNEY! French pastries at Epcot. Need I say more? And why, oh why didn't I think to get the camera out before Mr. Disney Magic and my oldest attacked??!! One of the pieces of Disney Magic we brought back home to ease our sorrow at leaving. Why is it upside down?! I have no idea. I can't turn the photo!! Simple, classic, tasty. The Mickey Mouse Cupcake. Click on the button to see other amazing Disney foods! Today's Wordless Wednesday link up from Focused on the Magic is focusing on SUMMER!! Since we just got back I couldn't think of a more perfect picture. This was our first time going to Epcot, and while I had read about the shaved ice in the Japanese Pavilion, it was an absolute shock when we were given piled sky high mounds of ice covered in four flavors. (We got rainbow) It started melting quickly, otherwise I think it would have been higher in the photo, which doesn't do it justice at all. rainbow had four flavors, melon (which my oldest didn't like), tangerine, I think cherry and I can't remember the other flavor. I'm hoping that the photos Mr. Disney Magic took with his phone end up on my computer soon, so I can see if he got a better one. The official name for this is Kaki Gori, and it's one snack credit, or around $5. You can also get sweet cream in it, but we just opted for plain.
Back in 2015, my littlest man was too small for Star Tours, so he and I were roaming around the back streets at Hollywood Studios. We were just going up and down the streets, totally enjoying that, "I'm walking down the set of Singin' in the Rain" sort of feel, when I saw this window. It caught my attention and I tried to get a good picture, but this was the best that I could do, there were so many people around. I was thinking about it the other day, since we are days away from our next trip-- with so much being taken away for Star Wars Land, I guess this window must be gone too? A good reminder to always take lots of photos, because you might not ever get to see something again!
