This weeks' topic on Focused on the Magic is Last Resorts!
Where did we stay last? Pop Century! We love Pop so much, we really don't want to stay anywhere else! It's our home away from home!! The kids love the pools, I love the Everything Pop and the bridge leading to Art of Animation and Mr. Disney Magic loves the hot fudge brownie sundaes in the food court, and the bus system that lets him take a well deserved rest from driving! Soon, I'll bet we will love the gondolas, as long as they don't interrupt the view of the fireworks over Hourglass Lake! Use the button below to visit more Last Resorts!

It's Wednesday again, and that means another great set of photos with the Focused on the Magic Blog hop! Click the button on the bottom to see more. I might be a weirdo, but I LOVE the Disney Junior show at Hollywood Studios. Our first trip we saw it once, our second trip, twice. This last trip, the shows were all canceled our first day for technical difficulties (I'm guessing the book wouldn't turn? I mean...the cast is puppets) but on our last day, my youngest and I got to see it. The oldest was a little sad, so hoping next time we can all see it. Makes me a little sad that it might only be another time or two that we get to see it again, today my youngest is 5! Who knows how many more times he will sit through it, but I tell you...doesn't matter how old I am, I'm always going to want to see it! (As long as I have a kid with me, because I don't want people thinking I'm weird!) I love the songs, (Yes, I do have the Jake and the Neverland Pirates and Doc McStuffins soundtracks and darn tootin I know the words!) and I LOVE LOVE LOVE when they drop the bubbles, the gold doubloons and the streamers from the sky!! It's sooo fun!! We have a little pile of them as souvenirs. It's so awesome now that the meet and greet for the Disney Junior gang is right nearby. My youngest fell in love with Sofia on this last trip, and he was too shy to meet her, but he did go to Jake, Doc and Pluto. Do you have a favorite Disney Junior character? This week at Focused on the Magic we are doing Calendar shots. I feel like this one here is pretty appropriate for August, because as much as I hate to admit it, summer is winding down. It was cold this morning and foggy (which I hate driving in) and in just a few short weeks the kids will be in school. While I don't mind the fall, all those holidays give you something to look forward to, it's about end of December until May that everything feels BLAH. So farewell to the last little bits of summer... ciao, aloha, shalom, adios... And as a side note, anyone else seen that ADORABLE Small World tumbler they released? It's limited, and expensive! Absolutely adorable and there's a few people who have them for sale, but I just can't bring myself to get one even though I love Small World. Go here to see more great shots!
This week, Focused on the Magic has Nostalgia as the theme. I feel the most nostalgic with Hollywood Studios, what with all of the changes that have happened in the last year, and continue to be made. Without a doubt, I loved the Streets of America, and was almost in tears seeing it torn down. It's funny though, when we first visited, we did the Backlot Tour. Just as an afterthought sort of "Oh, look at that!" I snapped a photo of the Earful tower. Who would have guessed, certainly not me, that in a year it would be gone, and that a few years after that, nothing of the back section would remain. An important less and reminder to snap those photos! You really may never get to see it again. Even if the photos are blurry, because your tram driver must have been a former NASCAR driver, it's ok! Blurry is better than none!

This week on Focused on the Magic the topic is Favorite Views. I have a few of those for sure! The Hourglass Lake between Pop Century and Art of Animation is one of my favorites, and it's possible that the landscape will be forever changed, with the new sky gondolas coming. I also love anything from Animal Kingdom, but my favorite thing, is our happy family, there in the best place on earth!
