For the last few weeks, the Sky Gondolas connecting Disney's Pop Century and art of Animation Resorts, to Caribbean Beach, Epcot and Hollywood Studios have been in testing phase. While originally, it was thought the new transportation mode would be up this fall, could it be sooner? All of the pictures shown have been with a covering of some sort over the gondola, so pictures haven't been exciting to see, except for the fact showing that they are on the move and it's possible ahead of schedule! What do you think? ready to ride, or are you going to take a different way to and from the Parks? After the recent sky goldala problem at Seaworld in California, where 16 people were trapped in the air for almost four hours, I'm not sure how I feel! I feel confident Disney is the safest theme park in the world, and I think they would try and right the situation if something happened, but still...that' got to be scary!

Yes...it's almost ridiculous how excited I am about the Disney Streaming Service, and I might check a few times a week for updates, but I'm just so excited! After the most recent article I read, I am even more anxious for a start date! Some of the AWESOME things that will be on the Disney Streaming Service are, a docuseries on Disney Imagineering, possibly a new Monster's Inc cartoon show (Hoping they will stream Buzz Lightyear of Star Command and a few of the other great series they did based on movies), a live action of the Timmy Failure series of books, a remake of Lady and the Tramp, and possibly a remake of Sword in the Stone, and so much more! Here's a really great article, if you are interested! Still no word on the cost yet, other than saying it will be less than Netflix. I'm glad to hear that! If it comes to picking and choosing, I don't want to have to skip Disney, because they are priced too high! https://www.goodhousekeeping.com/life/entertainment/a25726169/disney-streaming-service-cost/ Even though Disney upped the price to park at their parks back in February, they did it again in October, along with a slew of other increases. If you didn't know already, it's going to cost a little more to park on your next visit to Magic Kingdom, or any of the other House of Mouse residences. While the nightly parking fee if you stay on property still covers the parking fee if you visit a theme park, anyone staying off property, will pay a little more. Standard automobile $25 (Up from $22) Oversized parking $30 (Up from $27) Preferred parking $50 (Up from $45) Keep in mind, that you only have to pay once per DAY to park. If you leave and come back, as long as you have your receipt from earlier, you won't have to pay again. Does the increase in parking mean that there's going to be a higher resort parking fee? Will this make you more likely to stay on property? Or off? I'm sure you know that Walt had many other creations, before Mickey Mouse but without a doubt, his short film series the Alice Comedies were groundbreaking in the 1920s, and were able to help him build up his studio after a previous bankruptcy. Using a live girl, and animation, Walt made 56 of these short films. Over the course of the series, Alice was played by four different little girls. If you look hard enough, you'll find them on VHS, and DVD, but also, since the videos are now public domain, you will run across them on Youtube! I've included one below from Youtube for you to get a taste of. Remember... these older cartoons sometimes portrayed things that today's cartoons might not, and could be considered not politically correct, or even violent. Please use your best judgment before watching, or allowing your children to watch. Picture by Disney Disney got a lot of things planned for Mickey's 90th, a November TV Special, limited merchandise, new comics, books, a birthday cartoon...it's going to be so big, it spills into 2019! If you want all the details, you can go here, to the Disney Blog and see what great Mickey Mouse happenings are headed your way! |
